Our tradition is to collect items for Safe Haven (unwrapped adult or child socks or other unwrapped small items). We can still collect them at the rescheduled social or, if you wish, you can arrange with Kate Baldwin (kate.mary.baldwin@gmail.com) for collection before Christmas or deliver them yourself to the Safe Haven Resource Center at 414 W. 1st St, Duluth.
We are not sending out hard copy invitations for this rescheduled event. It will only be publicized electronically by email and on our FB page and website. So please help get out the word to other AAUW members. GUESTS WELCOME!
Kate and Zabelle have been in contact, and have decided that it would be prudent to cancel the winter social this Sunday. While the snow may taper off by Sunday afternoon, the projected totals and high winds from late Friday through at least Sunday morning will probably not leave enough time for clean-up and safe travel. We will let you know if we decide to reschedule.
